Outreach
Since I became an amateur astronomer nearly 14 years ago, I have spent a lot of time on astronomy public outreach. I was elected president of Astronomical Association of Nanjing University (2014-2015), president of Astronomy Union of Nanjing Universities (2015-2016) and president of Student Union of the Astronomy Department of Nanjing University (2015-2016). I organized many sidewalk astronomy events, astronomy lectures for public and other popular science activities. I have also written many astronomy articles (mostly in Chinese) for public.
I've been the outreach leader of graduate students in the Astronomy Department of UC Santa Cruz in 2020-2023. A key responsibility in this role has been managing the department's amateur telescopes (8-10 inches) and organize star parties on and off campus. I have also organized/participated in outreach events for LatinX students (La Noche) at Lick Observatory and Chinese-American students in the Bay Area.
